The Des Moines Choral Society is an auditioned volunteer group of singers brought together by a unified passion for excellence in choral music.  The choir consists of approximately seventy gifted and accomplished adult singers from throughout central Iowa and has been recognized by the Iowa Arts Council for its exceptional concert performances.

The Des Moines Choral Society traditionally performs two to three major concerts of choral music per season, occasionally appearing with other arts performance organizations. Through the choir's multi-faceted efforts, the city of Des Moines can boast having one of the most exciting and refreshing choirs in central Iowa.

Through generous private and public support, grants, concert revenue and membership dues, the Des Moines Choral Society maintains a tradition of excellence in performance of old and new classics, folk songs and spirituals. We welcome you as a singer or audience member. You'll agree, the Des Moines Choral Society is "Something to Sing About!"
